  • Prof. Claudio Calì graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1975 at University of Palermo and in the same year became Assistant Professor. He spent two years (1980-1981) as a Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and belonged to the temporary staff of the Lincoln Laboratory at M.I.T. from November 1986 to February 1987. In 1985 he was appointed as Associate Professor of Electronics at University of Palermo, and in 1990 Full Professor. He was Group Leader (Palermo Working Unit) of Gruppo Nazionale di Elettronica Quantistica e Plasmi (GNEQP), Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), and Istituto Nazionale di Fisica della Materia (INFM). He was head of the Electronic Engineering Academic Council from 1992 to 1998 and from 2007 to 2013, and head of the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering of the University of Palermo, from 2004 to 2007.
    He is the author or co-author of 36 scientific papers published on peer-reviewed journals or book chapters.
