Biography

  • Dr. Mauro Mosca graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1996 and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2000. As a Ph.D. student, he spent one year at Thomson-CSF, Orsay, France, working on OLED. Later, he worked with Thales (Central Research Laboratory), Orsay, France, on AlGaN-based solar blind MSM detectors (Marie Curie fellowhip). Then, he joined the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, where he worked on GaN-based optical sources and detectors. Since 2005 he has been Assistant Professor at University of Palermo, Italy.
    He is a member of SPIE and of the Editorial Board of Journal of Solid State Physics (Hindawi).
    He is the author or co-author of 44 scientific papers published on peer-reviewed journals or book chapters.
